Miss You!

Hi everyone, hope you're all well and had a good weekend. We've actually had some lovely sunshine here today - hope it lasts! Sorry if I haven't managed to catch up with you this week - I've been having a few headaches and feeling sick so have only been able to blog a little bit.

My share today is my DT card for DigiStamp Boutique and is also my entry for the new challenge over at LessisMore. This week Chrissie and Jen want us to use dogs or cats on our creations and the brand new Window Frame Set is just perfect! The little dog looked sad to me so I added a Miss You! sentiment. You never know, it might come in handy one day! Apologies for the awful photo - I have had to use my phone to take it as my camera won't charge and needs a new battery. Well, I hope it's just a battery it needs as that's what I've ordered!

That's it from me for now. I hope to be back mid week when I should be able to show you my finished cushion - yay!!
Have a lovely evening and thanks for taking the time to visit.

More LOTV wild flowers

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good week. Is it wet enough for you, lol? It was so cold this morning I had to dig out my gloves - what is going on with our weather?!

Thanks for all your advice about paper cutters - it seems the Tonic guillotine is a popular choice so it looks like I'll be giving that one a try.

A very quick (and late for me!)  post tonight to share another couple of wild flower cards made with the Lili of the Valley Art Pad. The round sentiment is from a pad you can see here.

Both really quick and easy to make and I think the images are so fresh and pretty.

Thanks for visiting!

Sketchy Daisy

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. Thanks for all your lovely comments about my last cards. Some of you were very complimentary about my colouring - I wish I was half that good at coloring, lol! I know I've said it in an earlier post but it's worth saying again - the Art Pads from LOTV that I've been using are pre-coloured images but there are also Sketch Pads that are black and white and ready to colour yourself. Thanks also for your encouraging comments about my granny squares - my cushion cover is coming on nicely and you were all right when you said crocheting is addictive! The only thing making me stop is the cramp in my fingers, lol!

My first card today is this week's DT card for Digistamp Boutique and I've used the gorgeous Sketchy Daisy that's one of the offers of the month with a sentiment too. I resized the image in  Craft Artist and printed it three times so that I could layer up the petals. Very CAS but I hope you like it.

After I'd made this card I hopped over to  Less is More and saw all the fab one layer cards using coloured card stock and decided to have a go.

This time I've used an image from the Best Dad Tile Set also from Digistamp Boutique. I love this image as you can resize it and make it square or rectangular as I have. Because Sally-Ann has cleverly used a mix of fonts it works really well.

Before I go I need to ask for some advice about paper cutters. I have a Woodware finger guard one and it is my second one in about eighteen months. It's gone 'funny' as the first one did and won't cut straight. I need a new one but would like to know what you use/recommend before I splash out on yet another one!

Thanks for visiting and I'll be round to see you soon.

Wild Flowers

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. Thanks for visiting today. As promised, the weather was gorgeous on Monday and it was lovely to potter in the garden and enjoy some quiet time. After I'd done the weeding I sat under the parasol and practiced my crocheting - more about that in a bit! I was concentrating so hard (it's not easy to do with hot, sweaty fingers, lol!) I didn't realise one arm was still in the sun and I managed to burn it. It's calmed down a bit now but I looked ridiculous yesterday, lol, and, oh, the itchiness!!

Anyhow, onto my shares for today. My first one is a couple of cards I've made using the Wild Flower Art Pad from Lili of the Valley that you can see here. I just love the country cottage feel to these images - they're so beautiful!

I'd like to enter these cards into the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Challenge 161 - Floral Delights
One Stop Craft Challenge - Challenge 227 - Flower Power

My second share is thanks to the lovely Irene who makes the most beautiful crocheted items. After learning how to make the roses a while ago, I wanted to learn how to make granny squares but I 'gave up' because I just couldn't find a pattern/instructions that I could follow. Irene sent me such a lovely encouraging email, reminded me about a book I'd bought last year and sent me the links to a couple of fab blogs. So, thanks to Irene ..... ta dah!!

My first granny squares!! I've decided to make a cushion for my craft room chair. Hopefully I'll get it made before Christmas, lol! Thanks for all your good advice Irene.
That's it from me for now - I'll be round to catch up with you soon.

Tie-riffic Dad!

Hi everyone, hope you're having a lovely weekend. It's been sunny and warmish today but tomorrow is promising to be gorgeous - hope so! It's fab having the extra day off this weekend - a taste of what every week will be like from September - yay!

My share today is a bit on the bright side thanks to Chrissie and Jen at Less is More! It's a fab challenge this week and I really enjoyed experimenting with the colours on the colour wheel. I finally decided on the opposite colours of orange and blue - definitely not a combination I'd normally go for! I've used one of this month's brand new images and sentiment from the Tie Set over at DigiStamp Boutique. You can see all this month's new images and papers here - fab!! I've printed onto linen card and, as usual, kept it very CAS.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Less is More - Colour Challenge
Moving Along With the Times - One for the Guys
My Mum's Craft Shop - Spots or Stripes

Another quick post from me - it's been very quiet so nothing to chat about, lol! Thanks for visiting and I'll be round to catch up with you later.

Playing Guitar

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting today. Hope you're having a good week and seeing some sunshine - lovely isn't it! It must be warming up as I didn't need to wear my coat to drive home tonight but I'm still wearing my socks and boots and can't remember ever doing that in May!

My share today is another CAS card using the cute Playing Guitar image from Liliof theValley taken from the Action Time Art Pad that you can see here. The papers are from the Candles and Cake pad - gorgeous!

I'd like to enter this card into this month's challenge at My Mum's Craft Shop - Challenge 5 - Spots or Stripes.
Short and sweet again today!
See you soon.

Less is More - Sketch 9

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good weekend. I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying and we are almost in May - it's not getting any warmer 'though!

Another quick post from me today to share a very CAS card  I've made with one of the brand new offers of the month from DigiStamp Boutique. I've used the Graduation Set that you can see here and used the fab sketch, drawn by Jen, from this week's Less is More challenge - definitely my kind of sketch! I've printed a row of caps onto paper to make a border on the insert.

Now I've uploaded the photo, I'm not sure about this. If I glance at it it looks okay but if I look too long the cap looks strange just 'floating' in mid air. Oh well, it's done now!
That's it from me for now, thanks for visiting and I'll be round to see you soon.

LOTV CAS!

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting today. Apologies if you have had a strange email today that was supposedly from me. Unfortunately I discovered my email account had been hacked and emails sent to all my contacts! I checked my emails at lunchtime and thought it was strange that I had 59 in my inbox and they were all from  Mailer- Daemon telling me that emails I'd sent couldn't be delivered! Hopefully it's all sorted now but if anyone gets any please let me know!

My share today is another card I made at the weekend using one of the Art Pads from LOTV. This time I've used the super cute 'Walk the Plank' image and  gone for a more CAS look.  I quite like how it's turned out - what do you think?

On my way round to catch up with you now if I haven't already!

Another Dress!

Hi everyone, hope you've had a lovely Sunday and enjoyed some sunshine. I'd planned to plant some freesia bulbs today (my favourite flowers) but it rained for most of the day and only stopped at about 5pm, by which time I was too tired! My mum bought us a magnolia for Easter and we got that planted yesterday - can't wait to see it flower.

My card today was commissioned  by a lady who had seen my other dress cards. Whenever I make a card to sell I always worry that the person won't like what I've made so I make two or three so they can choose. She chose the first one I'd made, lol! Once again I've used the beautiful dress image from Digistamp Boutique and printed it onto one of the Pretty in Black papers.

ETA: I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges, both new to me:
Runway Inspired - Challenge 34

CAS-ual Fridays - Birthday Project

I'm on my way round to catch up with you all now!
Thanks for visiting.

Super Striker!

Hi everyone, hope you're well and having a good weekend. Apologies if I haven't managed to get round to visit your blogs this week but it's been one of those weeks; so busy and it just flew!

Last week I was asked if I would like to make a few samples for the Lili of the Valley shop, using their gorgeous new Art Pads. It was such a lovely surprise to be asked, especially as I was to stick to my usual clean and simple style, and of course I said yes! So for my first card I used the cute Super Striker image and paper from the Candles and Cake paper pack. As you can see the image is beautifully coloured and printed onto excellent quality card stock - fab!

I'm going to go over and say 'Hi!' to my old teamies at Papertake Weekly  and enter this card into this week's challenge - One Paper Taker.
Thanks for visiting!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Digistamp Boutique DT card.

Pretty Leaf Set

Hi everyone, hope you're having a lovely Sunday. Has anyone got the beautiful weather that was forecast - it's wet and windy here, although not as cold? Thanks for your lovely comments about my circular card - I was so unsure about it but like it much more now!

For today's card I've used one of this month's new images from DigiStamp Boutique; it's the Pretty Leaf Set and you can see it here - it's perfect for CAS cards. I've printed it onto linen card from Papermill Direct and used the sentiment form the Mother's Day Set.

I'm back at work tomorrow and, as usual, the bag of paperwork I brought home to do has been neglected! I'm off to tackle some of that and I'll be round to catch up with you later!
Enjoy the rest of the day!

Mini Make!

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting today. Sitting in my craft room this afternoon I was wondering what was worse; having loads of ideas for cards but no time to do them, or having lots of time but no mojo! Notice I said 'sitting' in my craft room - not much else was happening besides paper shuffling, ribbon box rummaging and looking through the window, lol! Finally, after a little wander around some of my favourite blogs, I decided to do a mini card - not as scary as a big, blank 6x6! So, inspired by Sarn's recent gorgeous mini cards and the beautiful circlular cards that Marisa and Mary make, I made this.

I've used the very pretty Flower and Heart Circle set from DigiStamp Boutique. Last time I used one of these images on this card I enlarged it but this time I've left it as it comes and printed an extra one to layer it up. The paper is from the Spring collection here

Hopefully I'll have a more productive day tomorrow!
See you soon!
