Front cover!

Had a great time yesterday and when I got home the postman had delivered the latest issue of QCME. I'm sooooo happy that my card is on the front cover! I always get so excited when that happens, especially when there are so many fab cards by the other designers. The card is part of a project I did using digital downloads that are so pretty. I'm really enjoying using digi stuff lately - makes a nice change from rubber stamps (although stamping is my very favourite technique).

The weekend at last!

I knew it would happen! The minute I go back to work after the Easter break everything 'crafty' falls by the wayside. There's just no time to do anything. Well the weekend is here and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow as I'm going to the ICHF show at Aintree with Debbie and her sister-in-law Andy (see you're famous too now Andy, lol!). This time I'm not just looking at the card making goodies as I'm really into the knitting now too (more money!!) Really need to buy some more Promarkers (love them) and some paper flowers .... and maybe some adhesive gems and some nice paper and ribbons and .... well you can't go to a craft show and not have a splurge can you?!

First one!

This isn't the card I made for Debbie's birthday because I don't want her to see it before the day. This is one I've made purely to practice my photography and uploading skills! I also wanted to have another go at making an easel card. Trouble is, I do like this card better - hmmm, I wonder which one you'll get Deb.

Woo hoo!

Have had a very exciting email today. I recently designed and knitted a cushion cover (the first thing I've ever designed) and sent it off to Knit Today magazine to see if it was any good. I can't believe they're actually going to use it in the magazine!! I'm absolutely thrilled to bits and can't stop smiling. YAY!!

Hello sunshine

The weather is just glorious today! Nowhere to go and nothing important to do so thought it was about time I looked at this blog of mine - not very good at this am I?! The trouble is I don't get much time to make cards and when I do they're usually for a commission so I can't show them on here. I've made one today though, for my cousin Debbie who celebrates her birthday at the end of the month. It's the first card I've made for a 'real' person for a very long time. I really don't like making them to give to people as I don't feel confident about them. Anyway as soon as I figure out how to do it I'll upload a picture of it.
