Teddy Bears Parade
Hi everyone, hope you're all well. This is the first of my scheduled posts, so fingers crossed! As it's the first Saturday of a brand new month (where is this year going?!) it's time for a new Crafty Calendar challenge. Our theme this month is Teddy Bears Parade with the optional extra of lots of layers. It's been a while since I used a teddy image and I really enjoyed making my card for today. As ever, it's a fairly plain and simple one as I do find lots of layers difficult to do. The sweet little bear is from LOTV and is one of their pre-coloured images - ideal when you're short of time! So cute but why are his eyebrows so high up, lol?!

Hope you and the family are all well. Oh My Goodness how stinkin cute is that little bear !!! Even with the high eyebrows which I didn't notice until you pointed it out LOL. Love the dp's, the colour scheme is just gorgeous. Love the layout and the little flower embellishments. Just absolutely gorgeous.

Such an adorable image and wonderfully coloured too. Great mix of dots and stripes in the BG and the extra flowers are a great touch. Wonderfully done :)

Your card may be simple but I really love it. I am also a big fan of sripey and dotty papers and not to much layers! The image is really sweet!

I stumbled across your blog. Always a pleasure seeing another crafter getting pleasure from what they do.
I sometimes make my own Christmas cards, I make lino cuts and print them on my old hand press
Im'e a gilder and use gold leaf and imitation gold leaf rather a lot.
Have you thought of gilding onto paper?
It's really quite easy to gild onto paper, there are now modern gold sizes that are simple to use, and there are various ways to create antique and distressed finishes as well., like the crackle glaze and antique glaze.
If you have a moment, pop over to my site, there is quite a lot about gilding onto paper, in particular there is an old bookbinders recipe which you can use to make really authentic looking imitation vellums and parchment papers from ordinary papers.
